Creating Research-Based Web Sites with Netscape Composer

Module 3 - Building a Site with Netscape Composer

About This Module

This module will review the creation of the proposal web site we built during our meeting in the lab on Tuesday, January 25, 2005.  This information is offered as a review and way for you to practice using Composer.  Ultimately, you are the one who needs to gauge how much practice you need, but it is recommended that you attempt to work through this exercise at least once on your own.  If you can do this exercise independently, you are well on your way to having the skills you need to complete your web site projects.

In the exercise, you will utilize a site structure map and a web site file structure list to help build a proposal site from scratch, then post it to the web server.

This module is arranged by topic to allow you to easily use it as a resource during the process of creating your web pages.  Each topic area contains a short text explanation followed by additional online resources that you may want to browse to gain further understanding of a particular topic. To view a topic area for this module, click its link at the left.

The Web Skills Assignments included at the end of this module are based on the information presented in each topic section, so read each topic section first, then you will be ready to complete the Web Skills Assignments.

WEB SKILLS ASSIGNMENTS FOR THIS MODULE ARE DUE AT 9:30 AM ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2005.
