I also found the reading on the Selling of Chinese Prostitutes interesting because the terms they were given were little better than the terms of slavery and even if they had an "end" in site it would get pushed back because every one gets sick and they would have a month added on for that and of course in the profession of prostitution the likelihood of getting pregnant is of course high, so that would be another year. | + | Castaneda's piece was very interesting to me because the distinction among Spanish and Mexican women is true for me. I'm half Spanish, half Latin American and I get treated differently depending on which nationality I say I am (least to say I say Spanish more often than Latin American). Emely A. | ||
