I think that "Rumors of War" was very similar to the things we saw in the film. | + | Whereas "The Things They Carried" is a work of fiction, it really gives a feeling that the reader is in Vietnam with the soldiers. Also, like Ron who was remorseful for Wilson's death from accidentally shooting Wilson, Lieutenant Jimmy Cross grieved for Ted Lavender after Lavender was shot dead while Cross was daydreaming. Both Ron and Cross had feelings for the deaths of other soldiers that really made them human. - A. Brudno | ||
