This movie seems to be pretty accurate. It shows how important the Coal Company is on their lives. Many of the people risked their lives to fight the Coal Company. | + | One of the things that the movie portrayed well was the contempt that the Company's people had for the miners. Well, contempt might be too strong of a word... more of "you are no more than dirt beneath my shoe" kind of feeling. (I can't think of the word right now) They really didn't care about the miner's family situations, or lifestyle in general. Because in their eyes they were just bodies to be replaced. This really emphasized the tensions that formed and had been forming for awhile. - Jenn | ||
