| + | Although the British did treat the colonial militias badly during the war, the movie goes out of its way to point to how independent and rights loving the colonists are. Also let's not forget that Cora herself while talking to Munro states that the colonists would be better off if the English were essentially wiped from the colony. Here's the problem with that idea, it sets up a non-existent dichotomy between the British and the not-yet-Americans.
