I found the HUAC to be extremely hypocritical. | + | I saw WSP as more sly and manipulative. They knew that the most effective way to get a woman's voice heard was to play up those female stereotypes, especially in court. No judge would throw out a bunch of sweet women who weren't doing anything wrong! And they couldn't go militant or get too forceful with their protests. That kind of thing tends to irritate and annoy people rather than make them agreeable to the cause. I just think that if you're going to go with that method, you can't complain about being treated like a stereotype afterwards. So, Taylor complaining about wanting to be treated equally while manipulating the female stereotypes is definitely hypocritical. -- CBrau | ||
