| + | Just like LeAnn and Allison said, I also enjoyed reading Sadie's story. It amazed me how she lived such a simple life, yet she was so content because she was independent and making money for herself. I found it interesting how she could only live on $2 a week! She even went on to say she could "have lived cheaper, but we are both fond of good things and felt that we could afford them." (P. 308) $2 a week! That is literally impossible now a days. But Sadie claimed the $2 was enough for her to get by on and live comfortably. I noticed the marriage decision she made. It is interesting to see the progression over the course of the centuries. Women insisted on waiting instead of being married in their teenage years.
