I cannot imagine working with wounded men some of them enemies. Ada says she is not sure that she can treat Yankee soldiers the same as Confederate soldiers. At first my reaction was what kind of person wouldn't help out a wounded man he deserves treatment like everyone else. Then I thought about it. That soldier you are helping could have killed your father or brother or son. I would like to think I would treat everyone the same but I am not sure I could. I think Ada is a good person for at least making the effort to help humanity despite the fact they are the enemy. LeAnn T.
