I loved this letter to Selden. It was absolutly fascinating. I cannot believe she has a kitchen with no doors so the animals just walk in. I laughed when she said a rat jumped into bed with her. I think she is a very courageous woman to live the way she does. She is so hardworking I am amazed at the amount of activity she does in a day. I would be completely exhausted. I felt bad for her when she said that she was homesick. She talked to another woman who said she was so homesick she could die and I can image life was 20 times harder in California then it was in the more civilized east coast. - LeAnn Taggart
