Abigail Bailey rightly suspected misbehavior on the part of her husband but she could not even share her fears with anyone. However, eventually Abigail Bailey reminded her husband that a marriage was supposed to be mutually beneficial. Although she was under his complete authority, he promised her fidelity and protection.
