| + | When reading about slave families I was reminded of the threat we read about before of relocation or sale. It makes it even clearer how white (Anglo) women had a very different experience in this time period than minority women. For all groups, I didn't realize how repressive American people and law were for the formation of families. Also, Ashley, I like your point about "women of color." I never thought about it that way before.--Amanda | ||
