| + | I also agree that reading Glenn’s article on Chinese-American families before reading Kingston’s book would have been beneficial. Glenn’s article gives me, a reader with no prior experience with the topic-area, a foothold. I probably would have grasped some of the ideas we discussed on Tuesday a little better had I read that article first. Having the article at the end does function as a ‘wrap-up’ to the subject. It puts everything in perspective. –Andrew B | ||
