| + | Katherine M Schmitt's memoir was an interesting read. I liked how she explained the telephone as a "temperamental child" and how she nursed it to maturity. The memoir also serves to show this moment in time that technologies to us were viewed as new and exciting and "hanging in the balance." I can't really imagine picking up a phone and there being another conversation on it from people next door and so the telephone courtesy advertisement was silly to me. -Melissa Graham | ||
