After reading last week's monograph and this week's monograph, I have a curiosity question. In my Latin America studies class, there were court cases where white men tried to seduce and have sex with black male slaves. Is there any evidence that white men tried/did have sex with black men (free or slave)? And, is there any evidence for the white female and black female (free or slave)? I'm not trying to be gross, I'm just wondering if it also happened in America. | − | + | That is a really interesting thought, Ashley. It wouldn't surprise me if there had been court cases that dealt with that. There are a few cases that I can think of, pre-Revolution that have to do with homosexuality and transvestism, but nothing that deals with slaves.
