| + | I found it interesting how much of a lack of communication there was between husband and wife. Each person envied the others lifestyle and yet both were depressed. It did talk about writing letters back and forth, but they never expressed what they were truly feeling. Women only expressed their feelings to other women who could relate to them. Society was so caught up in their gender roles that couples could not talk to each other openly. -- Kari W. | ||
