Just commenting on Lacey’s first remark.  I read an interesting article not long ago about the influence media has on relationships.  Apparently, women have increasingly unreal expectations for their husbands b/c of romantic comedies (they think every man should be like Mathew McConaughey).  I wonder how much t.v., movies, and print really played a role in the transformation of wedding ceremonies.  –Andrew B
