| + | It's interesting how someone who didn't care for the slaves can change his mind so quickly. It could be that during the first years of the war Lincoln thought about the issue of slavery more and believed that if slavery was gone then there would be nothing to fight about and not because of his moral. He did say that he would only do something about the slaves only if it would assist to the unification of the union. ---Eun Yi | ||
