| + | I agree with Justin, it appears most of the women followed the typical path of t he 20th century woman: maybe go to school for a bit (either just high school or some college), get married, have kids, raise the kids, and after the kids have flown the coop, find a hobby. If the woman did decide to work it was typical women's work; clerical positions, teaching or nursing. ~Juliann Boyles | ||
Commenting on Jessica's point on how northern girls seemed like they were more important. I feel like this could because of the fact that a large portion of the north was cities, NY, CONN is very close to NY, Mass has Boston, with all these cities there are mor job options. Also girls that wanted to get out of their rural homes went to Urban area to find a job an a place to live and as we know there are thousands of apartments women could move into.
