Difference between revisions of "328--Week 11 Questions/Comments"

I found Joyce Johnson's piece on whole was very surprisin. I thought she was very specific and very honest about her experiences. She mentioned details such as "..that smelled of smoke and soiled clothing..." and "the room looked like a room in which only the very poor would ever wait." I can't help but feel sorry for her in the guilt she must be left with in order to remain independent. I also noticed her ability to see a therapist and wondered how common this was at the time? I know that usually one must have a signficant amount of money for a therapist and I wondered how she afforded the treatment and not the abortion. I also wondered her age and thought it would be quite relevant to the nature of her experiences. -- Meredith Bojarski
