| + | When Jefferson persuaded Sally Hemmings to return to VA with him, I thought it was out of love but i guess not because Madison stated that Jefferson did not show affections toward his siblings and him. I find that odd. And I find it kind of confusing when he promised her that her children would be set free at the age of 21. To my understanding the child she was pragnant with in France is her first.
