Difference between revisions of "328--Week 7 Questions/Comments"

I was also very interested in reading teh "Generational Conflicts" by Dorothy Bromley.  I found myself agreeing with alot that she says. I think that the feminists of the 1970's had the same kind of reputation of being antagonizers of men or as being man haters like the feminist-new style of the 20's thought the older feminists were.  I remember growing up in the 70's and being adamant that I did not want to be known as a feminist when I grew up! I still hate that term because of the negative image I have from the Femi-nazis of the 70's but I guess my beliefs are very much "feminist". How did the feminist-new style turn into the femi-nazis of the 70's? Is it just a normal "cycle" of generations and the old "history repeats itself" argument or did something specific happen to cause the feminist to revert to the more militant end of the spectrum again?~~Mary Beth Conrad
