Obviously those who settled in America wrote home about their experiences, but there was so much positive propaganda about the new colony in England earlier on trying to convince those to come that they did, despite death rates. Had encouragement to settle faded out by then and that’s why he tried so hard to convince Scottish citizens to come over to America? Why was there such a negative view of America. | ||
