| + | This article impressed me - a rural woman, one can fairly observe, did not have an easy life - their responsibilities and hardships seemed far beyond that of a Middle Class woman. How the narrator handled the challenges of the farm proved just how capable she was, proving that women not only were capable of running a farm by themselves, but that they could do it well. This woman not only ran the farm, but put her sons through school, all without the domestic help that a middle class family would have relied on. ~Juliann Boyles | ||
