I think that speaks volumes of the late 19th century mindset that technology and science can explain and then solve any problem. They thought, just as many people today think, that technology is the panacea of the world's ills. Perhaps it is, but it is as limited as a person's ability to apply it to solve the problem; then how do you solve the problem that the last solution caused?--JWolfe
