Like what other people have said, I agree that this movie definitely shows the level of confusion involved in covering the Watergate Scandal. I couldn't keep track of who was whom and who said what, and I think that was the point. Additionally, building on what Justine said about the movie being made around the time that it happened, I agree that the timing lends to its accuracy in terms of appearance and technology. I mean, at one point, Redford and his impressive sideburns make a call from a rotary payphone in a phone booth. Those sorts of things are more likely to get ignored today. -- P.A. | + | I enjoyed this movie a lot and I think it was one of the more accurate ones we have watched. I think it accurately showed how hard it was for Woodward and Bernstein to uncover the scandal. I mean, I doubt it just fell into their laps. They always seemed to be playing the "name game" and it was hard to keep all the names straight. Woodward and Bernstein were also portrayed accurately. Bernstein was the more experienced journalist. In the movie he told Woodward during their first interaction "I've been in this business since I was 16." He obviously had a few years on Woodward at the Post. --- Alex M. | ||
