| + | I think that "Rumors of War" was very similar to the things we saw in the film. These illusions and the desire to go and fight for the United States is what motivated many of the men to volunteer initially, but it became more than just a war to be won, or in this case loss, when the men returned home and found themselves lost without the war. Ron doesn't know what to do with himself when he returns home and ends up getting into some serious issues with alcoholism. This feeling of confusion or being lost is evident in both the reading and the film. I think they correspond well. - Victoria Y. | ||
