| + | I really liked this tale. It was crazy but funny. I couldn't believe the mother thought she could pretend to be the daughter; like the husband and brother wouldn't know it was her and not the daughter. I wonder if this ever really happened in a Native American tribe? I'm sure she didn't actually turn into a mermaid or the mother fall into the abyss but it seems like something that could be probable. The tale also seems to teach reinforce the lesson "blood is thicker than water." People in today's society could benefit from reading this. -Amy Van Ness | ||
