| + | It appeared to me in the readings that the theme in Chapter 7 was that marriage arrangements were an internal family struggle between the parents who treated the marriage as a business transaction-helped further the family and the potential wife or husband who was looking for personal desires. Does this marriage arrangement appear in some of our previous readings? I believe so. AND does an irony exist between the Catholic religion and the arrangement of marriages? --Joe C. | ||
