| + | I think that the underlying reason why many people are so shocked by this document is because it is so accurate. In response to some of the questions posed above, I do not think these are merely the thoughts of a farmer, but of just about every man at this time. Perhaps however, farmers were a little behind in socialization since they tended to be more isolated. Even if this was the cause though, I still think most men at the time possessed these primary thoughts, particularly about women being “property.” ~Megan Tisdelle~ | ||
