After reading Federalist #10, I decided that if I was alive in 1787 and had read this, I would have sided with the Federalists. I think that Madison does a great job at achieving the goal of attempting to persuade people to ratify the constitution. This is because it sounds like he simply published a speech. I was wondering if the Federalists ever read or spoke what they wrote in the Federalist Papers? I think that the flow and word usage really conveys a strong sense of emotion that I usually find when listening to good public speakers, but rarely when reading a document. -- Katie Mauro
