I find it very interesting that in Benjamin Rush's Thoughts upon the Mode of Education, he states that in order to create a useful and established education the republic should lay the foundation in religion. | + | In Benjamins Rushes "Thoughts upon the mode of education proper in a republic" I thought he made a lot of good points about the school system and how long we should be there and why we should be there for that span of our lives. I liked how he tied together goverenment with education. I dont however understand the line "A christina cannot fail of being a reupblican".- Bryan Quintana | ||
I thought that Benjamin Rush’s proposal was very interesting because he talks about the importance of religion. I understand why Christianity became the religion of America, but why was there no “Church of America” as there was a Church of England?
