| + | I thought it was interesting how in the introduction Pursell made a point to show how different types of history (ex. social & cultural) all are incorporated within the history of technology itself. This is able to show how technology has had an impact on America. One of the quotes that I found pretty intriguing was at the beginning in reference to technology, "History does not determine our future, but it provides us with both the material and the understanding with which we built that future" (p. 1). The future is not determined from what technology we already have, but it does shape what our futures could be. | ||
