The newsroom scenes are very well done, as is the interaction among the editors, and between the editors and the reporters.  (Personal experience talking here.)  The scene in the Library of Congress shows the tedium of reporting as Woodward and Bernstein wade through all those cards.  Then the camera pulls back and these main characters become non-entities, just two little guys among other little guys.  But in true Hollywood-history tradition, they bring down the Big Guys--although we know the real empire-toppling was done in the judicial arena.  ---- Debbi S.

I think the movie did a good job of portraying the fear in the public officials whenever they were asked questions regarding the scandal.  Many of the people who Woodward and Bernstein interviewed would say one thing and change their mind in fear of getting in trouble.  The constant probing by Woodward and Bernstein was well done because this was necessary in order to get to the bottom of the messy Watergate scandal.  The level of investigating was well done.  It was quite extensive and the movie did not skimp in that department.  Although I’m sure more people were involved, the movies point was to focus on Woodward and Bernstein and it did a good job with their investigation.  –afrisk
