| + | I think it was a way to emphasize the evils of poverty. Obviously, these women were unable to stay in the domestic sphere. They had no choice but to work. I think focusing on horrible factory jobs that these women had to do definitely emphasizes this. I don't think that focusing on men working these jobs would gain very much attention. -Katelyn Lease | ||
