| + | I also agree with you guys. This story definitely has a connection to modern times. I know a woman, who's in her sixties, and she still barely even breathes without asking her husband. Anytime one of the kids would misbehave, there was always the threat of "I'm telling your dad". Like she was incapable of punishing them herself. I could definitely tell a difference between this story and most of the other writings that we have read. It's obvious this woman is a professional writer instead of a woman simply writing in her journal. She builds up her story and makes it seem so dramatic.
