It's kind of amazing to see how quickly the "family" can change in such a short amount of time. As we've noted, there are a variety of family types that make it almost impossible to nail down one distinct definition of what the family is. Even in the 20 years it's been since Mintz & Kellogg published their little gem, the family has continued to grow and adapt.
