| + | I found the section on "machismo" to be interesting because it was another environment, like the Anglo American household, the prided itself on male dominance. Typically Anglo American households did not revert to violence to ensure the gender divide (at least I don't think so) but to read the Chicano households saw it as a necessary evil really stuck out to me.
