| + | The movie did a good job with portraying how upon entering Boone, the soldiers are almost shocked to find that nothing has changed. To them it seemed as if they never left home. I believe it's Homer who points out that men are playing golf and the high school football team was playing a game and it is he who first points out that nothing has changed. As we discussed in class, these veterans saw and experienced things that most Americans couldn't even conceive. For these men to have changed so drastically and to come home to a place that seemed as if time had stood still, was a idea they had a hard time grasping. --Mallory C. | ||
