This again derives from my assumption that soldiers would have been nothing but excited about seeing their families. The humor in this movie stood out to me as well. Most of it was sarcastic and even dark, but nonetheless enjoyable. I also like how the term "plastered" goes back to this time period. It makes me feel better in case I ever go back in time and want to get drunk at a bar, and in order to describe my experience I use the term "plastered" and the people will know what I was talking about. - David F. | The humor in this movie stood out to me as well.
