I think that the movie was pretty generally accurate. | − | The movie did a good job with showing how even though the men had skepticisms about joining the Union, it was necessary in order to stand up to the mining companies and to demand that they be treated better than just mere "equipment." The movie accurately portrayed the brutality that went along with the competition for jobs between races and ethnicities. I haven't finished the movie yet, in fact I'm not in to it all that much.
