| − | + | The Patriot was weighed down by it's occasional absurdities, like the representative in the legislature declaring "we are citizens of and American nation"... The film likewise made more slight faults for the sake of drama. I don't believe Tavington would have questioned why his new cavalry recruit from the loyalist militia would turn against his neighbors. We know Loyalists were as easy to find as Patriots.
