| + | I think one things this movie touched on well was the scarier side to having the "home field advantage." Often in history classes the notion that the Patriots had the battle fought on their own soil is praised and often accredited with aiding the Patriots when it came to winning the war. And while this may be true, the darker aspects to having this advantage are often overlooked. In the movie, it became clearer how violent the opposing armies were and how close these battles came to homes. I think this is an aspect often overlooked and it's a scary notion that battles were being fought literally in backyards. The British were able to avoid civilian deaths for this very reason. --Kelly Wuyscik | ||
