I just want to discuss what Amanda said a little more about white support of the Civil Rights Movement. The way the Durr's immediately rushed to help Rosa Parks after her arrest was remarkable to me. Cliff didn't hesitate because he would be bailing a black woman out of jail, he hesitated because he didn't have the money. | + | I also found it interesting that black and white women had to lie about supporting the bus boycott. Society still needed money to support their families and to have jobs available. The boycott was definitely an improvement for the civil rights movement just society could not completely stop to support it. –Ashley Scutari | ||
