| + | I found this article very interesting because harmful pesticides is a problem still dealt with today. I was surprised to see that she was the driving force behind getting changes made. I was also surprised to see how many people seemed to take her word over all the heads of the pesticide companies especially since it dealt with science and that was still seen as a man's field. It was interesting to see how popular her book became and how willing she was to put herself in the spotlight at a time when women were supposed to be in the home. - Christine W. | ||
