| + | When reading this conversation, the part that stands out to me the most is how the husband picked his wife because of her size. "...The biggest can do all the work, and that's what I want one for." (229) I just find it very interesting that women and slaves seemed to have no choice in the majority of their life, although white women were considered 'above' slaves. ---Virginia Stratton | ||
