I can see that this narrative is very exaggerated not only in terms of of how many bears he killed but also how he killed them. Especially when he describes of his account of killing a bear in the dark. But besides that it seems as if he is a really good person like where he helps a man who was grubbing all alone for meat. It also seems as if Crockett does not think highly of agricultural in that he thinks grubbing will not bring him much meat compared to hunting. So you can see that hunting was a primary source for food. Also, Crockett seems so be very proud of his skill for hunting. His neighbor and friends give him their hunting grounds and get a share of his meat. ****Eun Yi
