| + | This farmer sees women only as property and nothing more. He gave no thought at all to her feelings or wants. I was just wondering if this was the view of many men at this time? Were they all this extreme? My second question is, since Eliza Farnham was the one interviewing this farmer, and he so obviously thought women were only property, why would he have bothered to answer her questions? ~Mary Johnston | ||
