I lived in Virginia Hall (all girls!) my freshman year and the amount of eating disorders  and body issues that I was confronted with in that environment was a frightening and eye opening experience. I think this article really delved into the psychological roots of anorexia as well as the societal pressures that manifest themselves in young girls. But I think that confessions such as these as well has others has made it easier for women to speak out about anorexia and bulimia today because of how well known a disease it is, and hopefully someday its notoriety will help diminish this epidemic. -Emma</ins></div></td></tr>

However, at the same time, she acknowledges her disability and how it has helped shape her into a fierce and stalwart person.
